The Change Mindset

The world has changed. How do you engage staff, overcome supply issues, create culture change, or make the move to a hybrid office? These are just some of the changes in the new business landscape. But change isn’t a process. It’s a way of thinking. A change mindset flexes to new realities. It’s genuinely curious. It engages people in new ways of working. A change mindset drives change in the best interest of customers, staff, and the enterprise. In this interactive talk, Joe illustrates how a change mindset is the core driver of change. He explains the key behaviours of a change mindset; and offers practical insight on how to grow a change mindset in your organization.

At the end of this keynote your audience will:

  • Understand why mindset is the core driver of change
  • Understand the key behaviours of a change mindset
  • Have the foundation to grow a change mindset in your organization

The Innovation Mindset

Ever looked for ways to innovate your business only to find you’re tinkering around the edges of what you normally do? That’s not unusual. In fact, the biggest block to innovation is allowing ourselves to be limited by how we currently think and what we’ve already done.

This talk explores the limitations created by the “expert mind”. It encourages the audience to push the limits of their thinking by cultivating shoshin or the beginner’s heart. This interactive and practical talk shows audiences how to develop and apply the core behaviours of an innovation mindset.

At the end of this keynote your audience will:

  • Understand why current ways of thinking limit innovation
  • Understand the concept of shoshin as it relates to innovation
  • Be able to apply the core behaviours of an innovation mindset

The Equity Mindset

Equity is the result of a worldview. Often, inequity isn’t created because the people in a business want inequity. Inequity is created because a dominate group unintentionally creates systems and process that marginalises minority groups. That happens because, without living a minority experience, people only have their own worldview to operate from.

This interactive talk shows audiences how our worldviews are formed; how they can lead to unintentionally favouring one group over another; and what we can do to expand our thinking to create a more equitable environment.

At the end of this keynote your audience will:

  • Understand how (inequitable) worldviews are formed
  • Understand how worldviews can lead to unintentionally favouring one group over another
  • Have the insight to expand your worldview and create a more equitable environment

The Strategy Mindset

This talk challenges the idea of strategy as a planning process. It illustrates how bold, visionary, strategies can only happen if we’re willing and able to expand our thinking to look beyond what has been done and explore what’s possible.

Joe explains how strategy is about seeing things differently; creatively connecting what’s happening in the business landscape; and using that information to develop a meaningful strategy that can guide and grow your business.

Drawing on strategy case studies, Joe highlights how a shift in thinking can help businesses create dynamic strategies that are responsive, adaptable, and flexible while still achieving its goals.

At the end of this keynote your audience will:

  • Understand why many strategies fail or fail to be implemented
  • Understand the link between thinking differently and creating dynamic strategies
  • Understand the value of thinking differently when developing your business strategy
