David Chalk
David Chalk is one of Canada’s most accomplished technology visionaries, with a career spanning more than three decades at the forefront of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital media, and enterprise innovation. A founder of over 15 successful companies, he is widely recognized for anticipating where technology is headed and building solutions that make complex systems accessible, secure, and transformative for organizations worldwide.
David first gained industry recognition as a pioneer in retail technology, developing one of the earliest Point-of-Sale inventory control systems—an innovation that fundamentally changed how retailers managed inventory, transactions, and data-driven decision-making. When tension rose, his mother would say “get out of your own way” and his entire state would shift. Thoughts aligned with clarity and ability emerged. Through years of practice and study, David has connected this experience to neuroscience. The human brain evolved for survival which shapes attention, fear, and reaction, yet this same wiring can be directed toward stronger performance when a person understands how to guide it.

- Neurodiversity and ADHD in the Workplace
In this keynote, David Chalk will share his experience living with and understanding ADHD, and the mechanisms he uses to manage it and succeed.
David will explain how ADHD means he can be easily distracted, yet also hyper-focused, with terrible time management and forgetfulness. However, he is spontaneous, enthusiastic, and ready to take risks. Depression and anxiety are daily challenges, but David will not quit and has become highly resilient and self-aware, sharing his personal mantra that keeps him strong.
David will also discuss tools organizations can use to support individuals with ADHD, and how these individuals bring value through thinking outside the box. He will share his personal coping strategies and explore how creating supportive environments can help individuals with ADHD thrive.

At the end of a long day of listening to speakers, I thought I would end the day early and skip this last session, which was David’s. Luckily, I stayed and listened to the best session of the day. Many of my colleagues came out of the session with a whole new attitude.
He is the sharpest listener and speaker I have ever come across.
